Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a junior data analyst to support its National Security team and government clients. The role involves researching data methodologies, analyzing and visualizing large data sets, developing metrics and KPIs, and presenting findings and recommendations to inform federal decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Use your technical knowledge to support client and stakeholder relationships within the National Security Sector
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies
  • Generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, modeling, and visualization of large data sets
  • Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations
  • Apply your data skills and analytical mindset by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience
  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, and R
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes
  • Apply data visualization insights through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides
  • Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the National Security Sector

Qualification

Required

  • Experience synthesizing structured or unstructured data
  • Experience creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or R
  • Knowledge of data analytics concepts, quantitative and qualitative metric or KPI development, and best practices for converting complex data sets into clear graphs, tables, and presentation materials
  • Ability to lead client briefings, facilitate interactive data workshops, and adapt quickly to shifting client priorities and complex mission problems
  • Ability to provide a 2-5 page work product that does not contain confidential information, showcasing the creation of a report, paper, brochure, PowerPoint deck, advanced spreadsheet, or data visualization
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred

  • Experience with scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of database querying such as SQL, cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, or basic statistical modeling techniques
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or AWS Certified Data Analytics Certification
