The role involves developing statistical models, conducting data analysis, and facilitating training related to data analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain statistical models capable of extracting valuable business insights from large data sets.
  • Proactively participate in developing scalable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using a variety of techniques ranging from data aggregation to data mining.
  • Assist with conducting needs assessment and requirements gathering to design and assist in deploying data analytics solutions.
  • Perform data manipulation and analytics and translate insights into actionable recommendations to management.
  • Prepare presentations and reports of statistical concepts and research results related to efficiency initiatives to be shared with a non-statistical audience and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain the department's operational efficiency and productivity KPI targets.
  • Facilitate training and education of associates related to new systems and procedures.
  • Create standards for process improvement projects using Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis Theory.
  • Apply statistical expertise to advance current and future regional initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends in the field of Big Data Analytics by attending related seminars, conferences and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, computer science, software engineering or a related field required
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience using programming languages like C, C++, Java, Java Script, R, SQL, Python and basic IoT tools and concepts (e.g. Hadoop, OPC UA/DA, API, MATLAB etc) required
  • Experience with databases and large data sets and related reporting tools
  • Analytical skills with an ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex situations
  • Written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance, up to and including senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output and to assist others with identifying gaps in work results
