Premier Inc. is a leading healthcare management consulting firm seeking a Data Scientist to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves developing predictive models and algorithms, participating in data strategy initiatives, and providing insights through data analysis to support product development.
Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data;
Produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and highly dimensional datasets;
Work with developers and product engineers to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features, and provide guidelines for large-scale implementation.
Participate in data exploration and conceptual design for strategic initiatives;
Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product I improvement;
Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments.
Analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems, to design and develop solutions for production;
Develop features and stories based on requirements to feed product backlogs.
Provide data science practice advice, demonstrations and presentations to colleagues, clients, and management. Conduct research, as needed;
Provide mentoring and training.
Develop project estimates and work plans;
Identifying, developing, reviewing, and evolving best practices, standards, operating procedures, and processes;
Participating in the review of team member deliverables.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, computer science or a related field
2 years of experience in related occupations
2 years of experience in developing software in an agile environment
2 years of experience with Python scientific and data libraries such as Pandas and Jupyter
2 years of experience applying machine learning and data mining to real-world applications and products
2 years of experience designing, building, and deploying AI systems at scale
2 years of experience with deep neural network-based computer vision and NLP algorithms
2 years of experience defining requirements and leading projects in distributed teams and successful track record of delivering production-grade software
2 years of experience manipulating and analyzing large-scale datasets
Experience with workflow tools such as Airflow and AWS cloud services
Authority to work permanently in the U.S.
