The Data Scientist role within the Care Delivery Growth team involves leveraging analytics and machine learning to improve health outcomes and enhance patient experiences, while collaborating with business partners to generate actionable insights.
Develops and/or uses algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes.
Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry.
Collaborates with cross-functional business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics.
Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions.
Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.
Uses strong knowledge in algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions.
Uses strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms.
Join forces with the Data Engineering team to ensure the availability and integrity of data required for analytics, ML ops for deployment, and identify opportunities for data integration, automation, and augmentation.
Qualification
Required
1+ year experience as a Data Scientist using advanced analytics
1+ year experience writing complex and efficient SQL code and leveraging exploratory data analysis techniques to develop insights from data
1+ year experience with Python
1+ year experience building ML models ( e.g., Vertex AI or Amazon Sagemaker )
1+ years' experience leveraging GCP or Snowflake Cloud technologies
1+ year Healthcare Industry experience preferably with: provider, payor, claims and regulatory landscape
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline required
Preferred
Experience with end-to-end model development from ideation through solution development to deployment/monitoring including in standard and advanced ML modeling techniques (e.g., Regression Models, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, etc.)
Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm
Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
Forward-thinking, anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur
Understanding of care delivery solutions (e.g., Value Based Care, In-Home Evaluations, e-consults, etc.)
Proven attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
Experience within an agile product development framework
