CGI Federal is a leading IT and business consulting services firm that is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Intel sector. The role involves analyzing data to extract insights and develop solutions for business challenges, utilizing machine learning and statistical modeling while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Data Collection and Preparation: Gathering data from various sources, cleaning and transforming it for analysis.
Exploratory Data Analysis: Identifying trends, patterns, and insights within datasets.
Model Building and Evaluation: Developing and implementing machine learning models, algorithms, and statistical models to address specific business needs.
Communication and Visualization: Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and reports.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business analysts.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Candidates with an active TS/SCI and polygraph are highly desirable.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python and R, experience with data manipulation and analysis tools, machine learning frameworks, and statistical modeling techniques.
Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Ability to translate business problems into analytical tasks and develop data-driven solutions.
Ability to effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding of business objectives and the ability to align data analysis with strategic goals.
