Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to help solve complex analytical problems and develop process improvement solutions. The role involves conducting research, creating models and tools, and using statistical methods to advance efficiencies for clients in the IC and DoD sectors.
Conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
Application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
Conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
Using pandas, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, Octave, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, ExtendSim, SAS, Netica, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS to support analysis
Developing technologies and concepts that advance efficiencies for IC and DoD customers
Guiding a team to develop study plans
Briefing decision makers
Writing reports
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
1+ years of experience with the application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
1+ years of experience conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
1+ years of experience with pandas, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, Octave, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, ExtendSim, SAS, Netica, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
Preferred
Experience with Cameo, including running simulations
Experience with creating digital twins
Experience developing and performing verification and validation of models to ensure adequacy
Experience developing and delivering training materials for operations research techniques
Experience conducting problem definition and gathering data requirements from stakeholders
Experience briefing results and preparing written reports on analytic approaches and methodologies
Experience using machine learning and large language models to solve complex problems
Master's degree in a STEM field
