They are seeking an Associate Data Scientist or Data Scientist to support the PE&O Program Execution team, focusing on data analytics and modeling requirements to provide program insights and develop analytical solutions.
Work with a team of talented professionals passionate about the work they do
Engage with teams across the entire program to understand their analytics and data modeling requirements
Help architect and build data pipelines connected to multiple program ASoTs
Apply data engineering processes and procedures to manage infrastructure, storage, and transformation of data to enable scalable and performant analytics
Develop and publish Tableau server dashboards and visualizations used to inform individuals and leaders across the program.
Apply state of the art data science approaches to develop analytical solutions providing program insights
Work within an agile framework focused on stakeholder outcomes
Qualification
Required
1+ years’ experience with Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree for Associate Data Scientist.
Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 0 years’ experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree for Data Scientist.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.).
Foundational proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Basic understanding of database design principles.
Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and manipulation.
Understanding of basic data visualization principles.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of statistical methods and techniques.
Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications with guidance.
Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
Exposure to creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
Preferred
A bachelor’s degree in either Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Experience with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
Experience designing and building ETL pipelines.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Eagerness to learn about business processes and operations, especially in the context of improving operational efficiency.
