RBC is one of the largest banks in the world, and they are seeking a summer student who is passionate about data analysis and visualization. The role involves conducting competitive analysis, enhancing data access, and supporting strategic decision-making through data insights.
Conduct client and sector competitive analysis and data insights, incorporating economic influences such as tariffs and interest rate changes
Enhance the CB Data Consortium Confluence site to create an easy-access, one-stop shop for available data and insights
Support data standardization and the development of a single source of truth
Perform CBA market share analysis and contribute to enhancements
Analyze process efficiency and automate Commercial Banking client reports, dashboards, and insights, including Emerald value capture
Develop and enhance dashboards to provide easy access to key insights and information
Qualification
Required
Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting thoughts and ideas effectively
Ability to research and gather relevant information
Attention to detail and quality, with strong time management and project/work planning skills
Ability to conduct statistical and correlation analysis to identify patterns and trends
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Independent and strategic thinker
Experience in BI dashboard development using applications such as Tableau
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Programming experience using tools such as Python, R, Java, SQL/SQL Server
