Google is a company focused on building products that create opportunities for everyone. They are seeking a Decarbonization Portfolio Analyst to manage carbon market instruments and provide analytics to support strategic decarbonization efforts.
Provide technical oversight for our carbon market instrument strategy, including procurement and portfolio management of energy instruments
Work with our technical teams to build the analytics and business intelligence necessary for tracking and forecasting metrics and KPIs in pursuit of Google’s sustainability commitments
Lead the development of tools, analysis, and reporting for the market instrument portfolio to support strategic investment decisions and leadership reviews
Drive engagement and collaboration with a cross-functional team to execute on forecasting, tracking, and data quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Science, or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience in program or project management (leading cross-functional projects/programs)
Experience with data engineering, business intelligence, or data analytics
Experience with energy markets or grid infrastructure
Preferred
4 years of data engineering, business intelligence, or data analytics experience, preferably in the energy/grid infrastructure industry
Experience with database structure, APIs, analytics on large datasets (e.g., SQL, Java, SAS, or Python) and data visualization
Excellent problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to construct, articulate, and defend simple messages or insights from analysis
