Google specializes in internet-related services and products, and they are seeking a Fabrication Hardware Etch Engineer to develop and sustain semiconductor processes related to wet and dry etching in a cleanroom environment. The role involves creating documentation, troubleshooting processes, and training technicians, contributing to the advancement of quantum computing technology.
Implement procedures, create clear documentation, and train technicians on production/development tool sets.
Provide on demand fabrication process and equipment troubleshooting.
Be responsible for additional areas, including thin film deposition, photolithography, thermal processes, singulation, metrology, or packaging.
Develop and sustain semiconductor microfabrication processes primarily related to wet and dry etching.
Fabricate Google’s next generation quantum devices.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience working in a cleanroom technical environment.
2 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
5 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.
Experience with SPC, manufacturing execution systems (MES), change control, standard operating procedure writing, and technician training.
Experience with one or more of: Materials characterization, CAD tools, failure analysis, tool spec and purchase, and data analysis/visualization.
