Responsibilities

  • Implement procedures, create clear documentation, and train technicians on production/development tool sets.
  • Provide on demand fabrication process and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Be responsible for additional areas, including thin film deposition, photolithography, thermal processes, singulation, metrology, or packaging.
  • Develop and sustain semiconductor microfabrication processes primarily related to wet and dry etching.
  • Fabricate Google’s next generation quantum devices.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working in a cleanroom technical environment.
  • 2 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.

Preferred

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
  • 5 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments with responsibilities related to wet or dry etching.
  • Experience with SPC, manufacturing execution systems (MES), change control, standard operating procedure writing, and technician training.
  • Experience with one or more of: Materials characterization, CAD tools, failure analysis, tool spec and purchase, and data analysis/visualization.
