Google is a sub-organization of Alphabet that provides a search engine and other technologies. They are seeking a gVisor Software Engineer to develop next-generation technologies and work on projects critical to Google’s needs, particularly in container security and cloud solutions.
Support new models of GPU/TPUs in gVisor, and building integration/regression tests for existing models.
Expand gVisor's save/restore functionality to enable faster pod startup, especially for inference workloads.
Extend support for AI agent workloads.
Build out a GKE multi-tenancy platform, using gVisor for runtime isolation.
Secure Google's fleet against CPU vulnerabilities.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Python, Go.
Experience working with hardware accelerators (e.g., GPU, TPU, DSP).
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
