Google provides a search engine that retrieves information from various online sources. The Network Test Engineer will design and execute network test plans, utilize testing tools, and ensure the robustness of network infrastructure to support Google's Technical Infrastructure team.
Design and execute comprehensive network test plans. Triage automated regression failures, provide failure analysis, and manage software releases to production.
Utilize testing tools such as Ixia, Spirent Test Center, TRex, Wireshark, etc. to assess the performance and reliability of network systems. Document test procedures and results.
Implement various simulation techniques to replicate diverse network conditions for thorough testing. Build and maintain Testbed infrastructure and existing test automation.
Ensure the robustness of network infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with network equipment and network protocols testing and debugging.
Experience in test automation using Python or C++.
Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans and creating test cases.
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in software development and testing.
Experience with the following coding languages: C or C++, or Python or Go Lang.
