Google is a company that builds products to create opportunities for everyone. As an Operations Program Manager in Environmental Health and Safety, you will lead complex projects, ensuring the safety of operations and compliance with environmental regulations while collaborating with various teams.
Lead the full lifecycle of EHS programs, which may extend beyond your immediate team, driving impactful operational and technical improvements
Anticipate issues, propose solutions, and identify needs to develop or improve EHS Operation tools/processes. Evaluate incident data and track corrective actions
Evaluate EHS impact during data center design reviews, equipment, and process changes. Perform EHS risk evaluations and define process controls for new processes
Ensure comprehensive Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance, manage permits/KPIs. Provide site ownership and drive EHS turn-up of new locations with little supervision, demonstrating complete campus EHS ownership
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, managing dependencies. Own site-based EHS decision-making and serve as a recognized SME in multiple EHS verticals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
1 year of experience in program or project management
Experience in data center program management and general program management for multi-disciplinary initiatives
Preferred
Credentials or certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH or equivalent agency
Experience communicating with AHJ's (Federal, State, and Local Authorities) for notifications and permit conformance. Data Centers or electrical safety experience
Understanding of environmental regulations and a proven track record of ensuring regulatory compliance
Ability to advise, coach, influence, and collaborate with employees to achieve positive EHS outcomes
Advanced skills in collaboration, project management, and written and verbal communication skills
Strong background in safety and health protection, with specific expertise in electrical safety
