The Optical Sensors Engineer will collaborate across teams to shape the technical vision, focusing on pioneering, designing, validating, and integrating sensors for health applications.
Design wearable optical prototypes for new health sensing applications
Perform optical benchtop testing, debugging and root case analysis
Perform human trial experiments and signal analysis
Perform rapid prototyping, optical testing, and optical/physiological signal analysis
Drive sensors through product development cycles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience working on sensor design
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP)
Experience with modeling and simulation of optical systems
Experience in one or more of the following areas: optical simulations, hardware and sensor design (e.g., prototyping new sensors and development platforms to enable capturing novel and interesting measurements for our users.), system-level sensor tolerance modeling, analysis, and optimization
Comfortable rapidly prototyping hardware and experimental setups
