Google is seeking a Product Design Engineer to design the next generation of Pixel Earbuds. The role focuses on designing, analyzing, and prototyping concepts, validating product designs, managing product design activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver reliable mass-production components.
Apply design, engineering, and technical expertise to influence cross-functionally and deliver reliable mass production components, and solve time-sensitive problems
Anticipate and address product design issues or risks, analyze data, and validate product design to suggest or implement design improvements
Manage the product design, provide guidance to team members, and communicate progress, and request feedback to prevent/remove roadblocks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience shipping consumer products
Experience with manufacturing methods used in consumer products
