Identifying the gap in coverage and quality between videos, and those matching the product idea, through data analysis, evaluation and debugging.
Leverage multimodal LLM models to understand the video content and generate useful signals for retrieval and ranking.
Implement, evaluate, and launch changes across all parts of the stack, including indexing, retrieval, scoring, etc.
Collaborate with partner teams such as user modeling, creator understanding, media infrastructure, Discover infrastructure, etc. to realize, experiment, and launch ideas.
Build and improve the infrastructure to index and serve video content for Discover.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in C++ and Python or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging).
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
1 year of experience building and deploying information retrieval or recommendation systems (e.g., retrieval, prediction, ranking, personalization) in production.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience in Recommendation Systems, Information Retrieval, Search Quality, or Search Infrastructure.
Experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model evaluation, deployment, data processing, debugging).
