Google is a leading technology company that develops next-generation technologies for billions of users. As a Software Engineer on the Data Manager API Team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and launching API features while collaborating with various teams to ensure software maintainability and quality.
Write product or system development code and design, implement, test and launch API features. Work with domain experts, User Experience (UX), and PM teams to translate organizational needs into technical decisions and develop software and infrastructure with a focus on long-term maintainability.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development, Java, Boq, Spanner, Stubby, PromiseGraph, SQL or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
2 years of experience working with one or more of the following: API development, Software Architecture, GCP cloud technologies, cloud architecture.
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience with C++, Scaffolding.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
