The Software Engineer II will contribute to Android Search App front-end experiences, implement and test features, troubleshoot issues, manage assigned work, and use AI development tools to improve workflows.
Contribute to the development of front-end experiences for the Android Search App by collaborating with cross-functional partners (PM, UX) on team projects
Implement features, writing high-quality, testable code with guidance and support from senior team members
Test assigned features across various environments (teamfood, dogfood, production) and assist in triaging product or system issues
Manage assigned work to meet deadlines, proactively communicating progress and escalating technical challenges
Leverage AI development tools to optimize daily workflows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms
1 year of experience with Android application development
Preferred
Experience with Kotlin, Integration Testing, Experiment Design, Cross-Functional Collaboration
User-facing product development experience
Android/mobile experience preferred
