Design and implement low-level firmware modules in C to support advanced video codec features
Optimize firmware code for low-power consumption and high-throughput performance on embedded processors. Collaborate with the software drivers team and vendor to define and implement APIs/IOCTLs for seamless firmware-to-software communication
Assist in troubleshooting video pipeline issues, from the driver layer down to the hardware registers. Manage the technical relationship with external video IP vendor, including tracking bug reports and reviewing IP documentation
Evaluate vendor-provided reference code. Develop comprehensive test benches and unit tests to validate firmware and qualify firmware releases
Own the firmware release process, including versioning, changelog documentation, and binary packaging. Maintain firmware branches, providing critical bug fixes for existing products
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (C), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree
2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in computer science or related technical fields
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
