In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software systems that enhance the customer journey and improve user satisfaction with Google's hardware ecosystem.
Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code primarily in Java.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability, and contribute to the overall architecture and design of the Google Store platform.
Build and manage scalable, reliable backend services within a micro-services architecture.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems and features on the Google Store platform.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
Experience with API design and development.
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, SQL, visualization tools, and debugging.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
