The role involves managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions, particularly in the Geo team focused on mapping technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with iOS application development (Objective-C).
  • 2 years of experience developing and shipping code to end users.

Preferred

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience with API design and developing platform APIs consumed by multiple clients.
  • Experience in Front-End Development / Full-Stack Development.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration.
