The Search Product Analytics team is looking for a Software Engineer III to build and improve metrics and analysis tooling solutions that support search product development and decision-making.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree
Experience with large-scale data processing
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
Experience developing accessible technologies
Experience in designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines or investigative tools using SQL, Go, or C++, with familiarity in distributed data processing frameworks such as Flume
Experience with quality analysis and iteration, including metrics development and analysis, good reporting and data summarization skills
Familiarity with large-scale data processing and pipeline technologies
