Google is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Software Engineer for their iOS team. The role involves developing and enhancing the Google Search app, focusing on user experience and app performance.
Work closely with Product and UX to ensure features are of the highest level of craft
Implement changes that elevate the polish, performance, and delight of the Google App on iOS
Work with leads and cross-functional partners to plan how to best bring changes to production to ensure we continue to improve user sentiment, resulting in long-term engagement growth for iGA
Build expertise in a particular area of Google App on iOS and ensure all user journeys in that space are well-crafted
Build iOS experiences within iGA
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience programming in C++
2 years of experience with iOS application development
2 years of experience programming in Objective-C or Swift
Preferred
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging
Experience developing accessible technologies
Experience with iOS multiple concurrency systems (e.g., Swift Concurrency, Actors, Publishers, GCD, NSOperations) and managing multi-threaded code familiar debugging performance related issues with tooling like Instruments and integrating support for tracing through client code
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering
