Google is a leading technology company that builds products to create opportunities for everyone. As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex projects ensuring compliance with hardware safety standards while collaborating with various stakeholders to manage project schedules and risks.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
Identify, communicate, and collaborate with stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program management.
Experience in hardware safety certifications (e.g., IEC 62368-1, IEEE 1725, UL 1642, UL 2054).
Experience with consumer electronics (e.g., laptops, phones, tablets, etc.).
Preferred
2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Experience with product safety analysis, investigation, and product recall.
Experience with international certification schemes for information technology equipment (e.g., CE marking, CB scheme, GS, RCM, BIS, PSE, BSMI).
Experience working within safety test lab quality management systems, in compliance with ISO 17025.
Ability to perform safety testing.
