Google is seeking a Quantitative UX Researcher to join its Geo-Makers team, which develops geospatial products and platforms. The role will evaluate user experiences across Google’s geospatial developer and enterprise ecosystem by analyzing behavioral data, conducting statistical research, and translating findings into product strategy and technical specifications.
Query, clean, and model user interaction logs and product telemetry to understand developer workflows, drop-off points, and platform engagement across critical user journeys
Define, validate, and track user-centric metrics and UX key results to support product-led growth initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams
Translate statistical analyses into clear and concise research briefs, dashboards, and decision frameworks for cross-functional stakeholders
Advance analysis-friendly telemetry schemas, logging standards, and taxonomies to evaluate emerging AI tooling, developer kits, and APIs
Analyze prompt and log data for artificial intelligence applications to uncover insights for product strategy and technical specifications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Psychology, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
1 year of experience in an applied research setting (e.g., product or academic), or similar
Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go)
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field
1 year of experience conducting UX research on products and working in a large, matrixed organization
Experience analyzing behavioral logs, telemetry, and prompt data for artificial intelligence applications
Experience working with developer platforms, APIs, cloud tools, technical enterprise products, or geospatial software
