CVS Health is dedicated to building a world of health around every individual, and they are seeking an Analyst for Financial Reporting & Analysis. The Analyst will be responsible for accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries, conducting variance analysis, and ensuring accurate financial reporting while effectively communicating findings to leadership.
Support the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate financial statements
Prepare and review account reconciliations and verify accuracy of the general ledger
Conduct variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate discrepancies
Interpret contract language affecting Medicaid plans
Process invoice payments
Assist with collections of outstanding Medicaid settlements
Provide documentation and information for internal and external audits
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis within the controllership organization
Qualification
Required
Experience in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with large data sets and build/maintain complex spreadsheets
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred
1+ year of experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on month end close and analysis
Familiarity with financial systems or reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Sequel, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable work
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Solid written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarize findings clearly
