BAE Systems is a defense, aerospace, and security company providing advanced electronics, information technology solutions, and customer support services. The Contracts Leadership Development Program is a 36-month entry-level program that develops contracts professionals through rotational assignments, contracts management training, advanced education, leadership development, and mentorship.
CLDP is a 36-month program, consisting of three, 12-month rotations
It is designed to provide a diverse set of experiences through challenging rotational assignments, contracts management training programs, advanced education, leadership development, and mentorship
Rotations correlate with major DoD program lifecycle phases, including R&D, EMD, Production and Sustainment, as well as Commercial and Contract Operations options
Each rotation will expose a Participant to a different business area, facility and manager, to the extent practicable
As part of ensuring variety in experience and cultures across our BAE Systems sites, we are emphasizing a minimum of two (2) different geographic locations during your 3 rotations
BAE Systems offers tuition assistance for graduate school tuition, books and application fees in support of obtaining a Master’s Degree or MBA
Members of the program also complete in-house training that focuses on Contracts Management and Business Acumen at BAE Systems
The program seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills and style through the various training and networking opportunities
Qualification
Required
* Bachelor's degree with a business related focus or liberal arts
* Strong leadership qualities
* Ability and willingness to relocate and work at various sites
* Superior communication skills
* Achievement in non-academic pursuits such as athletics, clubs and organizations, special projects, military service, and prior work experience
* Internship/Co-op or project experience in related field
* Capacity and motivation for hard work
* Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance
