The Commissioning Engineer will focus on project deliveries at construction sites, ensuring the installation and commissioning of Mark V1e controls systems for new gas power combined cycle turbines, contributing to operational readiness and final acceptance of the power plant.
Participate in installation/commissioning, trial runs, and acceptance testing of the GEV MarkVIe control system for Combined Cycle Turbines at the Power Plant sites as assigned.
Work on installation to commissioning and from commissioning to customer handover, ensuring compliance with procedures and documentation standards.
Perform pre-checks, energization, and network verification of the Mark VIe control system, ensuring communication and functionality across all devices.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, review logic against engineering documents, and implement HMI screen modifications and alarm configurations.
Test equipment, including inspection, usage tracking, and timely return.
Provide technical feedback to engineering and project teams, contributing to continuous improvement while on long term assignment.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or technical college (or a high school diploma / GED and at least 4 years of related experience)
Min. 2 years of experience
Available to travel for long term assignments (100%) at Construction sites within the US
Preferred
Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus with Strong analytic and problem-solving capability
Field Service Experience related to Controls - Circuits
