The Electrical Engineer will support HV substation and energy infrastructure projects by producing plant layouts, developing equipment specifications, contributing engineering design input, and supporting Owners’ Engineer assignments and renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with producing primary plant layouts for HV substations
Support with the production of equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment
Providing engineering design input to major infrastructure projects
Support projects in the capacity of an Owners’ Engineer role. Working on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects
Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generation
Gain mentorship from experienced engineers within a highly collaborative team

Qualification

Required

Degree in Electrical Engineering
Some experience of working on HV projects
Some experience working a as designer or as a project engineer
Some experience developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear
Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects
Fluency in English
Some exposure to technical report writing
Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle as site visits may be required as part of this role

Preferred

Ideally have experience of working on multi-discipline engineering projects
Ideally hold Chartered accreditation or working toward status
Ideally have consultancy experience
Ideally have experience in reviewing review detailed designs & witnessing construction site activities
