The Experienced Tax Associate will be part of a team providing tax co-sourcing/outsourcing services to global Private Equity Funds, focusing on compliance services and communication with client investors.
As an Associate within the Global Information Reporting Services practice you will be part of a diverse team abound with the opportunity to grow into a financial industry leader in international tax transparency, transforming Private Equity processes.
Provide compliance services to financial institutions regarding IRC Chapter 3 NRA withholding, IRC Chapter 4 FATCA & the OECD’s Common Reporting Standards.
Prepare and submit IRS 1042, FATCA and CRS returns.
Communicate with Client Investors to obtain, validate and maintain, valid IRS Forms W-8, W-9 and CRS Self-Certifications.
Assist with training and mentoring Client Services Specialists and interns.
Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their goals and needs; and
Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Must have completed at least one 'busy season'
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Proficient use of applicable technology
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
Preferred
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and tax project management skills.
Ability to multi-task, think independently and solve problems in a results-driven team-oriented environment.
Previous experience with Big 4, CPA firm, law firm or private equity firm in one or more of the following areas: W-8/9 form solicitation and validation, 1042, FATCA or CRS reporting.
Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM, accounting degree or MBA.
CPA or equivalent certification such as EA, JD; desire to obtain certification required.
