Arrow Electronics is a company that provides electronic components and design services. They are seeking a Field Applications Engineer to help customers select and design-in electronic components, providing technical expertise and support to ensure customer and supplier success.
Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs
Develop an advanced understanding of the customer’s needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to identify & facilitate solutions for customers
Apply technical expertise to influence designs utilizing solution selling, resources, and strategies
Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities
Provide technical support and consulting to promote demand creation
Prepare and give technical presentations to customers
Manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel for assigned suppliers
Attend supplier trainings in-person and via conference calls
Demonstrate an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of supplier technologies and how those technologies relate to market needs
Provide training to sales teams on new products and help market these products to the appropriate customers
Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date on activities, plans, and progress towards initiatives
Deepen and broaden connections with key decision makers within customers and suppliers
Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution
Help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars
Qualification
Required
2+ years of electronic design experience with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
In-depth knowledge and experience with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Sales experience is beneficial in this role
This position is customer facing and requires regular onsite visits to their sites
Requires an electrical engineering degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
