Responsibilities

Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries and variance analysis against forecasts and budgets
Research and analyze the general ledger to identify billing opportunities and ensure accurate financial reporting
Collaborate with operational leaders to identify and recommend cost and productivity improvements
Develop financial forecasts, business plans, and conduct branch performance analysis
Provide financial training and support to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools
Conduct branch audits and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
Act as a liaison between the Business Unit and Ryder’s Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting team
Follow up on financial tracking, reporting, and provide recommendations for process improvements
Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall financial objectives

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations preferred
Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Proactive problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% as required

Preferred

Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is a plus
