Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries and variance analysis against forecasts and budgets
  • Research and analyze the general ledger to identify billing opportunities and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify and recommend cost and productivity improvements
  • Develop financial forecasts, business plans, and conduct branch performance analysis
  • Provide financial training and support to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools
  • Conduct branch audits and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
  • Act as a liaison between the Business Unit and Ryder’s Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting team
  • Follow up on financial tracking, reporting, and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall financial objectives

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% as required

Preferred

  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is a plus
