TMX Group operates global financial exchanges and organizations that support capital markets. The entry-level Financial Research Analyst will research, structure, database, and maintain financial data from publicly traded companies, ensuring accuracy and supporting investment professionals. The role also involves collaboration, high-volume quarterly work, and special projects to improve data quality.
Utilize proprietary software to annotate and structure SEC filings
Review public filings and press releases for financial disclosures and standardize, database and maintain the information
Collaborate with team members to establish reporting requirements and to ensure data integrity
Work on special projects throughout the year that help improve the breadth, depth, and accuracy of our data
As part of this role, there are periods of higher volume each quarter that require the ability to work beyond the standard 40 hours per week which is overtime eligible
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting required
A foundational understanding of stock market principles and a genuine interest in the investment landscape
Exceptional data entry accuracy with a "zero-error" mindset and a sharp eye for detail
Ability to prioritize high-volume tasks and manage multiple projects under tight market deadlines
A high degree of initiative and the ability to exercise independent judgment when navigating complex data
Ability to be flexible and work within a collaborative team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; thrives in both collaborative team settings and independent deep-work sessions
This role is remote, based out of the US West Coast (California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington)
