The Graduate Site Reliability Engineer will help build reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms, troubleshoot cloud-native systems, and support service reliability and operational excellence while developing under senior team guidance.

Responsibilities

Contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms and tools
Apply site reliability engineering principles to improve system stability and performance
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed cloud-native systems
Collaborate with engineering teams to support service reliability and operational excellence
Create and maintain documentation to support engineers and improve self-service capabilities
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, learning best practices along the way

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
About 1 year of experience in a software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure role
**Australian government security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance (AUS citizenship) required**
Solid understanding of operating systems, preferably Linux
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar
Experience with Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar
Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, APM)
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., Terraform, ARM, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
Good communication and collaboration skills
Exposure to AI development tools
