The role conducts market research, financial feasibility studies, data analysis, and modeling, while assisting with strategic business plans, project implementation, and presentations for senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Under close supervision, conduct market research, data collection, and various related analyses for long and short range programs and plans that provide for strategic, new business opportunities and direction for the Corporate Development Office (CDO)
  • Assist with translating quantitative and qualitative analyses into actionable corporate strategies under the supervision of the senior management
  • Analyze and research projects through financial feasibility studies and market research using primarily external data
  • Assist with generating business planning models to develop strategies and presents findings to the pertinent members of Corporate Development
  • Utilize data primarily from multiple external sources and targeted internal data, engage in data analyses and modeling of current initiatives and programs as requested by senior management
  • Utilize external data in “data-rooms”, assist in forming conclusions and questions around data for conversation with external sources
  • Collaborate with the appropriate business line senior management; assist in the development of strategic business plans. Assist in performing routine economic analyses, financial estimates, and risk analysis to ensure projected rates of growth and profitability potential in support of the strategic growth plans
  • Collaborate with various FMC departments to develop model assumptions and to understand impacts of new business opportunities on existing sectors
  • Assist with managing projects related to the implementation of strategic initiatives, working closely with business line owners, management, and stakeholders to identify resources, establish timelines and milestones to ensure successful execution
  • Assist in the drafting of write-ups and materials for presentation to senior management and the supervisory board
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by senior management
  • Refer to related senior level analyst(s) for assistance with higher level problems that may arise
  • Escalates issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness
  • Builds productive internal/external working relationships

  • Travel may be required
  • Collaborates in the vetting process for the JV group, assisting in decisions on the financial and strategic viability of potential JV deals
  • Assists in creating financial pro formas, returns, and loan information presentations to be presented to the potential JV partner
  • Assists in the managing of a comprehensive Medical Director Contracting model system (MDC) database including information obtained from Corporate Development, Business Planning & Analysis, Finance and the Legal Department
  • Utilizes MDC to ensure all executed agreements accurately reflect the corresponding data
  • Supports document load process and other processes related to MDC
  • Creates monthly status report for upper management
  • Releases and adjusts models as requested by the Physician Contracting team
  • Pulls and creates various reports for Legal department
  • Drives the maintenance of annual rate updates
  • Works closely with IT on interface with new CLM system
  • Collects and analyzes data pertaining to treatment costs
  • Analyzes treatment trends within the industry
  • Prepares presentations for upper management and the Physician Contracting team
  • Works closely with the Physician Contracting team on negotiation strategies
  • Runs queries based on ad hoc requests
  • Creates practice profiles for Physician Contracting team
  • Documents all reporting processes in CLM
  • Manages MDA reassignments
  • Builds models that reflect revenue and physician compensation impact on risk MDAs

Qualification

Required

  • Travel may be required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 0 – 2 years' related experience
  • Ability to assist in creating local marketing/strategic plans
  • Demonstrate ability to directly interact with various FMCNA stakeholders including physicians
  • Ability to function as a strong member of a highly motivated and integrated organization team
  • Strong communication and exceptional interpersonal skills required for this position
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and email applications
