Daktronics is a company that creates cutting-edge digital LED display technology and audio systems. As a Project Management Student, you will assist in various project phases, support sales, manage project documentation, and coordinate tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Project Management assistance for projects from various Sports and Commercial markets
Assistance with:
Writing scopes of work, project pricing and estimates, sending and receiving project correspondence, and project documentation
Supporting Sales with project proposal generation, quoting, and technical presentation
Initiating and organizing contract documents, subcontract documents, and general project correspondence
Generating and monitoring project budgets and schedules
Project management of standard orders and custom projects which may include installation and hiring of subcontractors under the guidance of Project Managers
Coordination of internal project tasks including:
Sales to Engineering representations, systems design, project accounting, material requisition, manufacturing/product throughput, pulling and shipping project parts, and management feedback
Work effectively as a team member with little supervision, help when and where needed, make and implement suggestions for product and process improvement, and communicate effectively with Sales, customers, and project team members
On-site project installation supervision or supervision assistance for projects
Ability to regularly and reliably work scheduled hours
Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related degree
Only strong academic performers will be considered and must maintain an acceptable GPA
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application
Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, self-motivation
The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred
The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits
The preferred applicant will be in their sophomore or junior year of school
Prior construction experience desired
Technical or mechanical interests, hobbies, and experiences are helpful
