The Revenue Analyst will analyze revenue streams, reconcile collections, and ensure financial reporting accuracy under GAAP, leveraging analytical skills to support operational and strategic decisions.
Analyze revenue transactions and assist in applying ASC 606 principles, including contract identification, performance obligations, and variable consideration.
Reconcile and monitor cash collections, accounts receivable, and contract assets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition.
Build and maintain data models to forecast revenue trends, analyze policy-level performance, and detect anomalies or potential write-offs.
Conduct statistical and variance analyses across revenue streams, identifying patterns that inform leadership decisions and forecasting accuracy.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Strategy, Operations) to validate revenue inputs, assumptions, and underlying data sources.
Support the month-end and quarter-end close process with detailed reconciliations, schedules, and documentation for internal and external audit.
Continuously evaluate and enhance data integrity between systems (e.g., Snowflake, Salesforce, and Sage Intacct) to ensure consistency in revenue and receivables reporting.
Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements across financial and operational datasets.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring of financial performance.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration)
2 years of related experience
Preferred
Understanding of GAAP, with a willingness to learn and apply key principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new software.
Experience with existing tools is a plus.
Experience in data analysis and working with large datasets.
Experience with data visualization (e.g. PowerBI) and SQL or Snowflake queries is a plus.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team in a fast-paced environment.
