Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and develop technical and administrative documentation, including presentation materials, training materials, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems development programs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with program requirements
  • Create and update standardized document templates using Microsoft Word and Office 365 tools
  • Develop and edit knowledge base articles supporting program delivery staff
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information and develop comprehensive, accurate program documentation
  • Review and correct formatting, continuity, consistency, grammar, and content gaps within program documents
  • Work with Business Analysts to document IT processes and procedures
  • Partner with Quality Assurance personnel to ensure documentation complies with technical, regulatory, and program standards
  • Develop basic graphics and utilize desktop publishing tools to effectively illustrate technical systems and concepts
  • Maintain documentation and version control within shared repositories such as SharePoint to ensure accessibility and accuracy
  • Provide timely technical writing support to program stakeholders and leadership
  • Report on progress of assigned work products and deliverables to ensure timely completion
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with two to five years of relevant technical writing or documentation experience, or Master's degree with two or more years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation within IT or systems development environments
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Word, and experience developing document templates
  • Experience maintaining documentation within shared repositories such as SharePoint
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and formatting skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation for diverse audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including SMEs, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance personnel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required
  • Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required
  • Ability to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required
  • Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms
  • This position requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from, as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home.) Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable
