Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Workflow Engineer to assist with the design and deployment of customized business process automation solutions. This role involves working through the full development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform current state and future state operational analysis, which is used to assist in building the customer’s business processes, consistent with Quanum Enterprise Content Management (EDM) System functionality
  • Design, develop, and deploy Quanum ECM business automation solutions to customers which include, but are not limited to the following: 
  • Workflow maps using the Quanum ECS workflow toolkit
  • Intelligent eForms using OpenText Liquid Office Form Designer
  • Business Process Management workflows using OpenText Liquid Office Suite
  • Intelligent Data Capture Scanning batch classes
  • UNIX shell and Perl scripts
  • Prepare supporting documentation on the Quanum ECS workflow features and functionality, Intelligent eForms, and the BPM solution
  • Participate in internal process improvement and design initiatives

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 2+ years' experience as a developer or QA engineer in the software industry
  • Healthcare experience or vendor experience focused on enterprise healthcare applications
  • Perform job duties with frequent interruptions or distractions
  • Adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and/or customers for different purposes in different contexts
  • Maintain composure under pressure
  • Performs a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions

  • Creative design skills for visualizing new workflow processes
  • Familiarity with SQL, Relational Databases, Java, JavaScript, and/or UNIX Shell
  • Employee must have the ability to operate an automobile; driver's license and proper insurance are required
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
