The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions for aerospace and defense applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software engineers, to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Participate in software requirement analysis, code reviews, and testing procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Follow established software development processes, including Agile methodologies and industry standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and team efficiency.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (STEM).
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java (internship, academic, or project-based).
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with real-time embedded systems or aerospace/defense applications.
  • Experience with DevSecOps
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices.
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
  • Exposure to software testing frameworks and tools.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
