Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring robust functionality and reliability
  • Implement, test, and debug software solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance
  • Participate in code reviews, testing procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and development processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
  • Document software designs, test results, and troubleshooting processes for future reference

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java
  • Understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Preferred

  • Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
  • Familiarity with real-time embedded systems or aerospace/defense applications
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles
  • Exposure to cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
  • Experience with software testing and debugging tools
  • Active U.S. government security clearance (if required for the role)
