RTX is the world's largest aerospace and defense company, seeking a motivated Software Engineer I to join their Strategic Solutions team. The role involves collaborating with a high-performance team to develop mission-critical software and support defense systems for the armed forces.
Team up with a high-performance software team, collaborating with fellow Software engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Software Architects, and other teams
Support requirements decomposition and derivation to produce Software Requirements
Participate in the design of the capabilities producing UML and SysML diagrams
Produce producing high quality mission critical software
Participate in code and related artifacts peer reviews
Create test cases and tests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
Experience in Object Oriented Programming and Java
Experience with Open Mission Systems standard
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
Preferred
Knowledge in UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools
Knowledge in requirements analysis, requirements decomposition and derivation
Knowledge in virtualization
Knowledge in microservices, containers and orchestrators
Knowledge in CI/CD
Understanding Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
