Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions
  • Develop, configure, and maintain code components adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Collaborate in iterative development cycles, ensuring continuous integration and delivery
  • Design and implement APIs and platform services with a focus on performance and security
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and defect resolution to maintain high-quality software
  • Automate routine tasks and support telemetry integration for application monitoring
  • Evaluate and apply emerging tools and technologies to enhance development processes
  • Partner with stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives and technical needs

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area
  • 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
  • Proven expertise in software development with strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience in iterative and incremental development methodologies, including Agile practices and user story creation
  • Skilled in API design, platform development, and component services with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and high availability
  • Ability to perform requirement analysis, risk assessment, and cost evaluation to align technical solutions with business objectives
  • Proficient in debugging, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated testing frameworks
  • Strong technical acumen with knowledge of telemetry, secure coding standards, and defect management processes
  • Demonstrated capability in documentation-based coding and delivering scoped features within project timelines

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture
