Siemens is a technology leader providing comprehensive solutions for Smart Infrastructure and Digital Industries. The Agile Tester Co-op position involves working with developers to perform integration tests, designing tests, and collaborating with the product team to clarify feature requirements.
Work alongside the developers to help develop and perform integration tests to ensure the code meets the defined acceptance criteria
Designing tests to mitigate risks and helping business experts define requirements
Create and run exploratory tests
Assist other developers with debugging, or additional testing as required
Enhance and maintain the device testing lab
Work with the product team to understand/clarify feature requirements and help develop acceptance criteria
Qualification
Required
Pursuing Degree/ Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline
Writing black box and GUI test cases
Understanding of basic network communication and protocols sockets packets TCPIP/UDP
Experience writing simple SQL queries and insert/update statements and basic grasp of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or another relational database
Knowledge of basic UNIX and Windows commands bash and CMD
Unix shell scripting skills is a plus
Experience collaborating on some level with programmers and business experts
Ability to work as part of a self-directed team in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis in coordination with co-workers rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you
Preferred
Experience in context-based exploratory or scenario testing is an asset
Knowledge of SCADA communications is an asset
Knowledge of Ethernet switches and routers, .NET, JUnit, NUnit, C/C++, Test-Driven Development is an asset
