HCA Healthcare is a leading healthcare organization that prioritizes the development of its team members. They are seeking an Associate Application Developer to enhance their technical skills while designing and developing enterprise-wide applications and APIs to improve operational efficiency.
Designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-wide applications and APIs to streamline critical operations (e.g., revenue cycle and labor management)
Developing, testing, and documenting clean, efficient, and scalable code, primarily using C#, .NET framework and PowerApps
Keeping management and stakeholders abreast of all significant matters through formal reporting and informal notification when needed
Adaptable to new technologies and learning new development languages and frameworks
Driving technology decisions by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and architecture patterns
Performing ongoing maintenance and optimization to ensure application performance, accuracy, and integrity
Championing innovation by leading best practices and continuous improvement within the engineering lifecycle, including code reviews and deployment processes
Collaborating with product owners, project managers, and ancillary departments to ensure development sprints
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
0 to 3 years of professional experience in software development, engineering, or a related field
Fundamental programming skills and concepts
Demonstrates understanding of C# and the .NET / .NET Core framework, PowerApps, Java, etc
SQL for database interaction (e.g., writing stored procedures, optimizing queries)
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
Experience with Git/Azure DevOps or other version control systems
Familiarity with Cloud technologies and its applicability
Preferred
A master's degree is a plus
Software Development, Cloud Technologies, and other technical certifications are a plus
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus
