Associate Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automate cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and SDKs.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and cloud-based workflows.
  • Identify and resolve issues in cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar tools.
  • Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization for better efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM policies and DevSecOps principles.
  • Support compliance efforts and security configurations for cloud-based applications.
  • Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to understand cloud requirements.
  • Participate in technical discussions for automation improvements and cloud architecture planning.
  • Maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, automation scripts, and workflows.

Qualification

Required

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, data science, or similar field OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python or Node.js for automation and backend development.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch).
  • Experience in automating cloud tasks using AWS SDKs, Step Functions, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Spinnaker).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Exposure to configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • AWS certification (AWS Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps, or Developer Associate).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new cloud technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Flexible working hours with potential on-call responsibilities.
  • Collaboration with global cloud engineering and DevOps teams.
