Western Union provides consumers and businesses with fast, reliable and convenient ways to send and receive money around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for building infrastructure-as-code pipelines, delivering self-service tooling, and driving platform adoption to enhance the cloud engineering function.
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Automate cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and SDKs.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and cloud-based workflows.
Identify and resolve issues in cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar tools.
Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization for better efficiency.
Implement security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM policies and DevSecOps principles.
Support compliance efforts and security configurations for cloud-based applications.
Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to understand cloud requirements.
Participate in technical discussions for automation improvements and cloud architecture planning.
Maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, automation scripts, and workflows.
Qualification
Required
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, data science, or similar field OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Proficiency in Python or Node.js for automation and backend development.
