Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
  • Determines computer uses needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and control
  • Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
  • Ensures software standards are met
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Qualification

Required

  • (Associate Engineer Software) bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 0 or more years of experience in software engineering OR
  • (Engineer Software) bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 or more years of experience in software engineering OR a Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 0 or more years of experience in software engineering or additional years of experience.
  • Experience developing software/writing code in C/C++ OR Java
  • Experience in object-oriented analysis and design
  • Experience developing software in a Linux/Unix operating systems environment
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred

  • Experience with integrating software and hardware
  • Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) architecture and standards
  • Experience with Agile software development and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye, etc.)
  • Experience with Cameo modeling for software design
  • An active, In-scope Top Secret security clearance
