Associate Mainframe Programmer Analyst-1

Responsibilities

  • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents basic programs according to the specifications provided
  • Writes specifications for programs or enhancements to existing programs
  • Participates in peer reviews
  • Assists in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks and evaluating results
  • Provides technical and production support to end-users
  • Share with other team members the support of critical systems that might involve working some evenings or holidays

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One plus years of programming experience
  • Experience working with mainframes using COBOL and/or SAS applications
  • Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software
  • Must be ITAR-compliant and able to provide proof of citizenship
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship
  • Applicants must reside in the continental United States
  • A background check and drug test are required

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, mathematics, or related field preferred
  • Experience supporting financial systems or knowledge of accounting a plus
  • Programming skills
  • Basic testing skills
  • Personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation, and testing of programs
  • Communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Ability to work in a team environment
