The Associate Programmer Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to enhance the Impact Product by providing application support, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with business conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Level II support for the application
  • Supports business conversion projects
  • Resolves functional issues
  • Triages application problems to the applications development or system support functions
  • Reviewing and analyzing technical design documents
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of service requests
  • Assisting client services/conversions/help desk
  • Troubleshooting real-time test/production issues
  • Documenting operational procedures
  • Supporting testing of enhancements and fixes
  • Recommending solutions and program corrections
  • Ensuring accuracy of static data/configuration/setups
  • Participating in peer review processes
  • Diagnosing and remediating production and test service requests
  • Attending batch issues meetings
  • Representing impact issues in project status meetings
  • Contributing to enterprise-wide metrics collection
  • Developing workarounds for functional issues
  • Assisting operations support group
  • Executing critical operational tasks and business conversions from a technical support perspective

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent degree
  • 0-3 years of experience as a software developer on Broadridge Impact Product
  • Experience in iSeries related technologies
  • Knowledge of IBM iSeries technologies such as RPG/400, DB2/400, CL/400 Programming, ILE Concepts
  • Analytical skills
  • Communication skills
  • Leadership skills

Preferred

  • AS400 experience
  • Experience with Impact – US Fixed Income Product
  • Knowledge of mathematical aspects of bond pricing and trading
  • Knowledge of securitized assets
  • Knowledge of mortgage-backed securities
  • Knowledge of money market instruments
  • Knowledge of fixed income backoffice operations/clearance operations
