Conagra Brands is a packaged foods company that offers food products and a variety of other food items. The role of Associate Software Engineer focuses on developing applications, partnering on product roadmaps, and contributing to both on-shore and offshore teams while exploring new technologies. The engineer will deliver software in project areas like Demand Science, Digital Marketing, and Digital Supply Chain using methodologies such as Continuous Delivery and DevOps.
Spend time between developing high quality software with internal and external teams to deliver against product features and stories
Help determine product prioritization and technology roadmaps with development vendor resources and integration resources.
Contribute to solution paths for both technical and business problems.
Partner across IT and the business to support agile application development, DevOps with short-cycle iterations to deliver value.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including: planning, pointing, demos, and retros
Prioritize unit tests, both manual and automated, to ensure the highest code quality
Contribute to the delivery pipeline using CI/CD best practices
Collaborate with the team on technical blueprints / designs to develop specific features / stories
Support the Solution Architect in defining the architectural roadmap for products
Define enabling features to achieve a product's architectural roadmaps. Support the product manager and delivery manager in defining non-functional requirements for features.
Develop system integrations following established application integration architecture framework and standards.
Work with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure requirements are deliverable and testable.
Qualification
Required
BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
2+ yrs. of related software development experience with Visual Studio, C#, Windows, MSSQL and backend data loads, and JavaScript
Experience working in a .NET enterprise environment and a proficient level understanding of OOP/SOLID principles.
Experience using Git and Azure DevOps, understanding of one-branch or trunk-based development
Experience using CI/CD pipelines
Experience in the following (or comparable): Azure, AWS, GCP, Typescript, Angular, Python (Django), Terraform
Versed in Agile, Continuous Delivery, and DevOps methodologies
Experience using various unit testing frameworks
Demonstrated individual and team success using agile methodologies to deliver
Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) including Kubernetes, having experience with IaC and Terraform a plus
Ability to work 3 days per week onsite in our Omaha, NE office (Tues, Weds & Thurs)
